It's that time of year where we reflect on our achievements, and celebrate some of our community's talented authors with IABC's Annual Book Fair & End-of-Year Event!

What's happening

Join us for an evening of learning and celebration! Our panel of authors will share insights into how they got started with writing, where they get their inspiration, and insights into the publishing process.

Then you'll have plenty of time to chat with your community and enjoy an evening of fun!

About the authors

Gilbert Kruidenier, Organisational Change Expert

With over 20 years of experience creating better change experiences across retail, education, disability and aged care, manufacturing and government, Gilbert is a trusted advisor and passionate advocate for transformation and change that people can see and experience for themselves.

When he’s not changing minds and businesses, Gilbert is a volunteer firefighter, fledgling karate practitioner, enthusiastic litter picker and greyhound rescue volunteer.

Cynthia Harris, Founder, Heart Recruitment

Cynthia Harris is a recruiter, communications specialist and storyteller. A curious extrovert and obsessive problem solver, Cynthia found her dream job in recruitment after her first career in corporate and internal communications.

In 2015, Cynthia founded Heart Talent, a purpose-led recruitment business supporting not for profit leaders to attract the right talent. Dr Cathryn Lloyd, Facilitator / Coach, Maverick Minds

She is the founder and director of Maverick Minds, where she combines artful inquiry, creative facilitation, and leadership coaching to help people and teams work well with clarity, collaboration, and purpose. Mel Loy SCMP, Founder & CEO, Hey Mel! Communication & Training

Mel Loy is a self-confessed serial ideator, obsessed with how humans behave and what that means for effective communication. After 20 years in in-house roles, Mel founded her agency in late 2020. Her small but mighty team at Hey Mel! Communication and Training provides consulting and training services to clients all over Australia and overseas, specialising in internal, change, crisis and strategic communication.

Apart from being obsessed with communication, Mel is a qualified yoga teacher, group fitness instructor, and personal trainer, who has been involved in the fitness industry for more than a decade.
